Review of The House (2017) by John T — 08 Jul 2017
2/5. Some of the jokes (what I assumed to be improv) made me laugh. It's kind of impossible to get through even a terrible Will Ferrell/Amy Poehler/Nick Kroll movie without laughing a few times. But the writing was cliched (there were attempts to stray from cliches, but they were lazy) and boring and predictable and the directing took too much of a hands-off approach with the cast--as one should, but you can't get as lazy as this attempt.
