Review of The Hours (2002) by Luca V — 08 Mar 2009
A very nice movie dealing with Virginia Woolf and her novel Mrs Dalloway. The only fault I noticed is Kidman s nose. I mean how did the director dare to attach such a nose on the face of one of the cutest women in the world? In my opinion this make up has started Kidman s decadence.
She now is all swelled, she looks like a porn star. I mean, Kidman who is now a kid woman did not accept aging. Anyway, I love Virginia Woolf (even if she would not have cared this, she was attracted by women aha!), and her defying conventions.
I donâ??t know why she did not like to live in Richmond. It is a very nice place. Yep, probably the river fuels suicide manias in those who are emotionally fragile. Woolf has modern replicants in the 50 and nowadays.
Well to be precise is Mrs Dalloway who has replicant. I confirm my great admiration for Julianne Moore who is the Queen of troubled women. To not mention the actors in the contemporary scenes of the movie.
There is the kid who forced to see his frustrated mother kissing her sister develops homosexuality. Meryl Streep strings relationships and possibly the three stories together. A small role for Clare Danes as the daughter of Streep + the other guy who acts the gay (clearly not 100%) guy, the splendid wrinkled Ed Harris.
