Review of The Hours (2002) by Noppawan A — 13 Jun 2009
I nearly had a chance to watch it in Norway 2003, but a lot of things in life kept me from watching it. I finally came to it one deliberate idle Sunday afternoon and rewarded my patience with a great sentimental experience.
The film strikes me a lot of questions as the stories of three main characters progressed in smooth transition. However, if they have the reading and living characters represented by non-white female, the film could have been added more dimensions. Women from other backgrounds can also relate to the complexity of love, relationship, happiness, death and freedom.
When it comes to the choice between life and death, it is a selfish decision to do so. One may think it is their last dignity, but the damages put upon their loved ones are unbearable. Suicidal people are the saddest creatures who do not have ability to tolerate life based on standards others put on them.
