A story of 3 women in different periods of time connected by a book and their battle with depression. The film flows between the 3 stories expressing to the audience how each try to deal with the hands they were dealt.

The film is a beautiful tragedy; the only way I could possibly describe it. The acting and many other elements such as cinematography and music are done just so beautifully and at the same time what unfolds is tragic.

Ed Harris does a wonderful job in the modern tale as a man struck down by Aids. The film asks the question, when a choice must be made, is it best to live your life for yourself or for the ones you love? An extremely powerful, emotional and visual film that will only take 2 hours to watch, but might will leave you livid and in awe for many years to come.

The Hours is one magnificent film.
