Review of The Hours (2002) by Ghazal S — 25 Feb 2011
"To look life in the face. Always, to look life in the face, and to know it for what it is. At last, to know it. To love it for what it is. And then; to put it away.".
No words can explain how dear and close to my heart The Hours is. It rips my heart to pieces every time I watch it. I found reflections of myself, of my life, of my thoughts in this movie.
The multilayer narrative style was fascinating.Nicole Kidman made such a perfect job as Virgina Woolf. Julianne Moore is also perfect and intense and at the same time very fragile. And Meryl Streep...what can I even say about this lady? She is always perfect on so many levels and The Hours was no exception.
