Review of The Hours (2002) by Dimitris S — 18 Sep 2008
Daldry is a purely "theatrical" director.I'm not saying it's a disadvantage but in order to place certain elements in one's grace and lap,you need a particular consequence. That which the book heavily dejects from the reader,Daldry always reveals his causes to the viewer.
...leaving an overrated Kidman to personify a magnificent novelist.Harris,Moore and Dillane shine and the creative heartbeat at times where different eras unfold is major bonus.
