'The Hours' is a three part of the years of 1923, 1951 & 2001, with three different cast of each year. The films is based on the 1999 Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same title by Michael Cunningham, also is a 2002/2003 American-British drama film with an all star cast, Basically the plot/Storyline is focuses on three women of different generations whose lives are interconnected by the novel Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf. Among them are Clarissa Vaughan (Streep), a New Yorker preparing an award party for her AIDS-stricken long-time friend and poet, Richard (Harris) in 2001; Laura Brown (Moore), a pregnant 1950's California housewife with a young boy and an unhappy marriage; and Virginia Woolf herself (Kidman) in 1920's England, who is struggling with depression and mental illness whilst trying to write her novel. The start of the film is emotionally, tearful & crazy as it first stars out in 1950's (1951 Los Angles, USA), then the seconded part of the film starts with the 1920's (1923 Richmond, England) and finally end with the third part of the film in 2000's (2001 New York City, US) witch all mixture into one film with flashback and a bit outplace and medaled up film. The Tagline of the movie is "Three Different Women. Each Living a Lie" which is basically shows in the film all in different time, but add up to giver with the same three women.

The film has been nominated & won numerous awards like won an Oscars for Best Actress in a Leading Role Nicole Kidman and was nominated by Oscars by Best Actor in a Supporting Role Ed Harris, Best Actress in a Supporting Role Julianne Moore & Best Director Stephen Daldry which equals nine Nominated all to giver, other were BAFTA Film Award, Critics Choice Award, Golden Globe and many more, also being on list & top list of film critics and audience polls.

This Movie was powerful, heart-breaking, upsetting, dark, twisted, distributing, odd, weirdo, nasty feelings, moving, solid Plot/Storyline and the time and 'Hours' of life. I love the saying of Nicole Kidman character 'Love Life as it is' before well not gone say. The genre of the film is mainly just Drama, but with a dark twist of the theme and style of the movie and bring the best of its gender/elements out, while having sweet and hard tone music and sound background in the film.

The Film was made on a decent budget of $25 million and has grossed worldwide at the Box Office $108,846,072 which was a sleep hit (as the Studioâ??s called it); It was the 56th highest grossing film of 2002. The Movie was critical acclaimed Film by critics, audience, moviegoer & fans of the actors in the film. The Film was a hit and grossed more on DVD sales & rentals and still is, while being distributed by Paramount Pictures (US) & Miramax Films (worldwide) both in Cinema and DVD.

The cast of the Film were Utley brilliant their performance are overwhelming and are touching by a lead cast of superstar cast line-up by the three main lead Nicole Kidman (1920's), Julianne Moore (1950's) & the talented charming Meryl Streep (2000's) in a very dark Drama of madness and suicidal of life. The main of the cast of the 20's Stephen Dillane & Miranda Richardson were great, in the 50's John C. Reilly, Jack Rovello & Toni Collette (as she seemed really fake but that what most were like as 50's housewives.) were totally outrages and super by showing of their talents in the movie and in the 2001 Ed Harris (with a dark and unbelievable performance), Allison Janney (which Allison & Meryl were lesbian lovers), Claire Danes (as Meryl Character daughter) and Jeff Daniels (with a small role but was prefect). The film had a huge fanatic's lineup with terrific non-stop great performance for this deadly good film.

Overall the Movie is Powerful in every level of a film of this type should be an brigs a big message from all the three part years of 1923 (20's), 1951 (50's) & 2001 (00'0) that shows a big message to people with mad, crazy, darkness or suicide thought to give life a chances and don't let go of what future could be. The movie is a different must-see for mainly women, but also for anyone who love the genre/element Drama that showcase the talented of the film and whoever is involved. The makeup artist on Nicole Kidman character was really good, but the nose looked really white from here skin colour soo made her look like her nose was died, the film is a big achievement and in my eye is a slight classic for its style, well acted and it genre of jus Dark Drama.
