Review of The Hound of the Baskervilles (1939) by Erin G — 24 May 2008
To me Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce are Holmes and Watson. This was the first in their series of films and the best. Set in the late 19th century as per the book, unfortunately the later films in this series were set during WW2 which for me didn't work nearly as well.
