Review of The Hottest State (2007) by Ryan N — 31 Jan 2008
Hey an Ethan Hawk novel, directed by him and also playing a small part in it as Williamâ??s father.
I never expected myself to be into this film but I did like it, I thought it would just be another love story, but actually about letting go.
It is about the character William Harding's struggle being with Sara whom in the start he falls in love with but struggles in the next half of the film to be with, a look into a first love gone wrong.
Poor romantic William, Saraâ??s feelings not as strong as his is overwhelmed by his love for her so she decides to end their relationship.
After the break up William believes himself to not understand women and succumbs to mental anguish over failing numerous times trying to win Saraâ??s love back.
But through all the pain and craziness, he eventually finds maturity, understanding and lets go of the feelings that he has bottled up inside for Sara.
