Review of The Hot Spot (1990) by Paul N — 11 Jan 2009
A fairly limp attempt at making a modern day noir in the American South, from everybody's favourite nutbag hypenate, Dennis Hopper, is engaging to a point. Casting two enormously sexy female leads in Madsen and Connelly (back when she was va-va-voom voluptuous and not stick-thin -- those were the days) goes some way to making up for the pedestrian plotline, but not far enough.
