Review of The Host (2013) by Nirolf — 24 Jun 2017

I know that this is an age when Hollywood is trying -needlessly and painfully- to push down our throats the empowering of female characters and an age in which American movie makers want to take inspiration from Japanese animation where, especially in the most recent Anime, the main characters are mainly teenagers endowed with traits your every-day teens could only dream of.

However, if that trope can work in a lot of Anime, it really doesn't work that much in a feature length movie! So, in conclusion, this movie fails, in almost any aspect imaginable, and even more so, since the main character is an angsty, dumb, useless and vapid teen girl, it's accompanied by a heavy dose of stupid and cringe.
