This could have been a really great film, but a lot of the plot points were nonsensical and the "political commentary" felt forced. The comedic elements worked at times, but some of the humor really just served to "dumb things down.
" All in all, I really think that the ideals behind "The Host" betrayed what good qualities it managed to display.
