Review of The Horseman (2009) by Ryan C — 03 Jun 2010
Although The Horseman is a by-the-numbers revenge drama, what makes this special is the superb performance of its lead, Marshall, whose implacable and tortured countenance fills every frame. Although its violence will put off many, this is a finely-tuned and well-executed movie in the same league as Harry Brown and definitely not just for gore-hounds.
Extra star for its brutal but realistic fight choreography. Yup, I liked it.
