This is the movie everyone was raving about when they thought they were talking about Taken. This is the gritty parent/vigilante I was expecting to see last year- not Liam neeson channelling James bond with abandonment issues.
The movie is undeniably gritty and bloody- but never seems to cross the line into meaningless torture-porn. If you've got instant watch, 90 minutes, and think that taken wasn't nearly as edgy as it thought it was - you could do worse than boot this up.
