Review of The Horror of Party Beach (1964) by John M — 08 Jun 2009
An inept version of Creature from the Black Lagoon. It's the same basic premise; horrific creature from the depths of the water comes and starts interacting negatively with people on the surface...
and then starts multiplying and can only be killed by sodium. It has very wooden acting, bad plot development and even worse dubbing, for some unknown reason. I've seen spaghetti westerns with better dubbing than this.
All of these ingredients make it one of my very favorite MST3Ks; in fact, this is the episode that really sold me on the show. It's a fine example on how not to compose a movie.
