Review of The Homesman (2014) by Davey M — 07 Jan 2015
A funny, tragic, bizarre picaresque odyssey through the American west, a story of non-(or sort of-)redemption, a character study of apparently ugly characters, a cast of eccentrics with no form or comeliness that we should desire them, and yet they are as deserving (more deserving) of our love as (than) the tidy churchgoers in the East that is the final stop of the pilgrimage.
A beautiful movie.
