Review of The Homesman (2014) by Pat E — 26 Mar 2015
Why anyone would waste their time with The Hunger games, The Hobbit, etc., which hung around for WEEKS, when this movie barely came & went, is beyond me. This was a really good movie. Keeping your attention so you didn't want to go to the bathroom without hitting the Pause Button first.
I had to rent it because, of the 4 nearby towns, only one even played it and just for a short run. It delves into many aspects of the hard homestead lives that many of the ancestors of the midwest had to endure.
The character development was natural, not strained. A very good story.
