Review of The Holy Mountain (1973) by Farhan M — 10 Mar 2008
Amazing. With far-reaching themes, and mind-fucking symbolism, this movie creates a surreal portrait of humanity. Its many faults, and also its many attempts at enlightenment are highlighted. The final scene, though, creates a commentary that truly brings light to one's own reality, and not just the reality of the film. It works wonderfully. The music is amazing as well.
It should be noted that there is violence against animals and this is something that is not good at all.
