Review of The Holy Mountain (1973) by Lou U — 07 Aug 2008
OH MY GOD! Another completely brilliant, surreal, and insane psychedelic freakout from Jodorwosky. This time we get a great religious metaphor beginning with a crazed Jesus and his 12 hot chick disciples, then moving along to such things as the orgasm robot and so on and so forth.
The first 30 minutes or so is Jodorwosky gleefully and scathingly satirizing the business known as Christianity. This film is a must see. I want to stage a screening. Send out flyers to churches around the city and tell them we're going to watch The Passion of Mel Gibson, but then put this on instead and watch as people's heads explode.
