Sacrilegious, blasphemous, devilish? I'm no theologian, so I can't answer that. This film certainly documents one man's spiritual journey and his questioning of an anachronistic religion that has made a mockery of itself through the perfection of idolatry.
Holy Mountain is on the surface a director stroking a little too much ego. However, if you dig a little deeper and stick with the film you'll discover a genuine labor of love. The amazing (and hugenormous) set designs and the exotic locations make this a film worth watching - simply gorgeous.
It's surprise ending displayed a surprising amount of empathy from the director. A must see if you don't mind boobs, bobs, a bobos.
