Review of The Holy Mountain (1973) by Sayer F — 26 Feb 2014
The Holy Mountain is one of the most brilliant movies I've ever seen. It's incredibly strange, funny, creepy, and very surreal, all adding up to one of the best atmospheres I've yet to see in a film.
The whole thing is an extended metaphor filled with symbolism, in a movie that's well directed and has cinematography so great it's ahead of its time.
