Yes, it is a typical romantic comedy meaning it follows a fairly straightforward storyline with few surprises. Toss that aside. The performances are outstanding, even Jack Black (this is the first movie he's been in that I've truly enjoyed). The situations are real enough to the point where at some time in your life this could have been you. Poignant and heartwarming, this tale should touch everyone in a positive way. Top notch entertainment.
