Review of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (2013) by Matthew F. J — 16 Dec 2014
This second episode holds few great punch and definitely bring the new trilogy in the heart of the action. Where the first episode felt a little slow and childish, this one has definitely the feel of the L.
O.T.R previous trilogy and once again will transport you into a world of fantasy. The action sequences are epic, the scene on the river in the barrels is pretty cool and the last battle looks equally insane.
The return of Legolas in this episode will make a lot of fans happy and Freeman as Bilbo will definitely gain your affection by then. Gandalf is in top shape and gives it all. This is a solid second installment in the franchise and the third episode should be epic as well.
Looking forward to it.
