Review of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (2013) by Olivier L — 17 Dec 2014
The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug is an exciting, dark, thrilling middle chapter. It has Peter Jackson back in form, thrilling sequences, great visual effects, and a pulse-pounding score by Howard Shore.
It is by far the clearest we have gotten to the epicness of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and lets not forget a visually jaw-dropping dragon which claims its rights into one of the best we have seen in the history of cinema.
