Review of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (2013) by Logan R — 27 Jun 2016
A great film of the tails of Hobbits. This second installment of the Hobbit by J.R.R Tolken is done in a way that is a closer adaptation of the book than the theatrical version. Better flow and consistency, additional back story and foreshadow of the evil coming back to middle earth.
I love these books, throughly enjoy the movies and really like the cgi used to create the world of middle earth. I would have liked more real images and not stage setss and cgi but all in all a very good movie.
