Review of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (2013) by Abby D — 12 Jun 2015
After a few days off of the first Hobbit movie, my hype was watering down, I thought the over the top humor(?) was stupid, too much singing and way to long with scenes that really did not need to be in the movie.
But this one is completely different and hyped up everything to 11! The action scenes were exciting (barrel chase has to be one of the best of the year), and worth being long, talking spiders were creepy, Legolas and newcomer Tauriel are awesome and make the movie all the more better, and everything with Smaug and Bilbo is worth the admission.
Yes, it is still way to long and the last 5 seconds are kind of a let down but leaves you so pumped for the next one, and it is going to be awesome!
