Rewatched it. I was drinking the koolaid the first time around as it is by far the weakest of the three, and embarrassingly pales in comparison to the cinematic masterpiece LOTR was. All in all, The Battle of the Armies is made worth a cable watch for the last 15 minutes alone, but I wouldn't recommend it for many.
It should really be titled, "The Hobbit the Battle of the 5 Equally Irrelevant CGI Armies that You Don't Relate to While Fans Eat It Up Because You Know, Peter Jackson and Hobbits.".
