Review of The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (2014) by Don S — 29 Apr 2016
Though I've enjoyed all three of these movies, there truly was no reason to drag the story out so long. The characters make this movie tick, not the effects or the battle that seemed to be given short shrift; too little of the action was shown and focused on skirmishes instead of the big picture.
Still, in all, this is a welcome ending to a fun to watch trilogy. Tauriel stole my heart throughout.
