Not fan of these kids books nor the overly long and dull Lord of the Rings movies, so I'm totally not the target audience for this. That said, I enjoy quite a bit of sci fi/ fantasy films. This is not one of them.
It suffers from all the typical modern Hollywood bloat and excessive cgi. There is quite literally NO STORY to this film. No arch at all. Amazingly dull.
