Review of The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (2014) by Paul F — 21 Aug 2015
This movie had so much potential and blew it big time. the battle scenes were horrendous. hardly any legolas in this one. way too much crazy ridiculous thorin. I actually didn't mind the fake tuariel character but she had zero screen time either.
when legolas runs up the falling stones, our theatre burst into laughter. even for jackson, that was too much. the main battle started way too late and what was up with the dwarves and men not all dying.
they were being destroyed. the elves disappeared minus their single battle scene jumping over the dwarves to join the fight. No volleys of arrows?? and to top it off, how the hell did azog jump through ice and land like michael jordan.
jackson's lack of respect to physics and reality is just awful. I know its a fake "middle earth" but damn.
