Extremely confused by the critics response to this, I would completely disregard most reviews as this is an excellent film. More lighthearted than LOTR, but then if jackson had given it exactly the same approach people would have criticised him for it.
The length seems appropriate, as I didn't notice any sections dragging on and was interested throughout. overall it's an excellent film.
