The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is a perfect balance between CG-filled action and good storytelling. Most other movies that tell great stories end up being far too slow and never give the excitement that keeps some of us interested.
It ensures that we don't end up falling asleep to an old man talking to a bunch of dwarfs for hours. It'll keep you constantly refreshed with awesome visual effects and intense action to spice up the story.
