Review of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012) by Callum C — 28 Jun 2015
It's good to dive again into Tolkien's universe but for this first one (I didn't see the others) I must say that, even if watching the landscapes thrwon at us and the action scenes was interesting, it was clearly boring by moments and some colors were too flashy, giving me a headache, also sticked too hard to the source material, making the few changes look entirely superficial and bringing nothing more to the plot, I could have just taken the book and read for each part of the movie.
To Sum up, they should have taken more freedom on this project and I think the entire project feels like it was mostly rushed but it's still an enjoyable, beautiful scenery, aspirin journey.
