Good Movie, but a Little Disappointing.

Set in Middle-earth some sixty years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Lord of the Rings," "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" tells the the first part of the classic tale of Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman), who is convinced by the wizard Gandalf the Grey (Ian McKellen), to accompany thirteen Dwarves, led by Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage), on a quest to reclaim the Lonely Mountain from the dragon Smaug.
Maybe my expectations were a little too high, but after waiting almost ten years for Peter Jackson to do to this film what he did to the amazing LOTR trilogy, I left the theatre a little disappointed. This new film is just not in the same league. I had heard that Jackson's original plan was to separate the story of "The Hobbit" into two parts, not three. I kinda wish he had done that instead of what he did here. Hopefully the next two installments will be better.
