Review of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012) by Oliver N — 01 Aug 2016
Undeniably the weakest Jackson entry we have yet seen in the series, however nonetheless is still something of a spectacle, especially in comparison to appalling recent fantasy movies. The director still handles the source material with intense care, and produces a fine movie, with good character build-up as we should expect. In all, a rather dragged-out film in the middle earth franchise, albeit a very good one.
Verdict: B.
