Review of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012) by First L — 16 Feb 2017
Did not live up to my initial expectations, however an excellent, enjoyable movie in all fairness. Not as tightly knit as previous Middle Earth excursions. Understandably more lighthearted than its companion LotR movies, against which it will certainly be compared.
Did not particularly enjoy Martin Freeman as Bilbo, and Ian Holmes' version left a bit to desire as well. The dwarves definitely steal the show, especially in Rivendell.
