Review of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012) by Shakhawat K — 14 Jan 2015
You had about seven bloody years to write this script! If a few things were moved around, subtracted, and (yes) added, the story would be much more bearable and enjoyable. Too many completely unrelated baddies: at least five, I count, none of whom have any relation to one another.
The movie needs to decide whether or not Bilbo or Thorin is the actual main character because it did get annoyingly confusing. Visually striking. I always love Martin Freeman and Ian McKellen. I won't watch it again at least for some time, but I'm very happy I saw it.
