Review of The Hitman's Bodyguard (2017) by Jacob B — 05 Sep 2017
Sorry, Tomatometer, I don't dislike this movie as much as you do. Went to see the movie with a friend and we laughed our asses off, especially during Salma Hayek's scenes. And there's the superhero fan in me screaming to go watch this movie.
Why? Because Deadpool and Nick Fury featuring Netflix Elektra and Commissioner James Gordon. We found the film to be funny with enjoyable action sequences with no hesitance to be profane as Samuel L. Jackson finally says his favourite word multiple times again.
Since we weren't expecting a film with tons of depth and went in it just to see Deadpool and Fury insult and yell at each other and the movie delivered. The Hitman's Bodyguard: the next best thing we have to Deadpool meeting Nick Fury with the former originally dating Netflix Elektra before she apparently sold him out.
This just might be my biggest guilty pleasure of 2017 to date.
