Review of The Hitman's Bodyguard (2017) by Alex K — 09 Apr 2018
I'm a bit surprised to see the low score on this movie. After maybe 45 minutes of watching, it began to remind me a lot of the great 80's movie, Midnight Run.
Not that this movie in any way was a copycat, except from a few similarities; two guys running from the bad guys, one crocked guy on the good guy's side, informing the bad guys about the whereabouts of the refugees. I believe there was also a bit of music from the "original" Midnight Run" movie.
Maybe the question really is, if Midnight Run can live up to the 96% score in a modern movie scenery, by those who voted on it back then? Well, I'm in no doubt; Midnight will always be one of the greatest movies of my time and I enjoyed it every time I saw it.
And perhaps this movie will be my new "Midnight Run".
10/10 to Midnight Run and 8/10 to The Hitman's Bodyguard.
