Review of The Hitman's Bodyguard (2017) by Thomas A — 03 Aug 2018
This may not be everyone's cup of tea and obviously has taken it's storytelling inspiration from Pulp Fiction. Samuel L. Jackson is the perfect example of that.
SPOILERS.
So this is the story about Michael Bryce, the world's top protection agent who loses his reputation because a high profile client was assassinated by one of the world's most deadly hitmen Darius Kincade... The two are fierce enemies but all changes when Michael is assigned to escort Kincaid to a court in the Hague, Netherlands. Where the emperor of Belarus is on trial in the International Criminal Court for crimes against Human Rights.Darius has intel including photos to prove Dukhovich guilty. Michael and Darius end up becoming great friends and some well made action scenes like a boat race through Amsterdam show them saving each others lives. The film also has two separate love affairs going on which add to the drama of these two men (who were ruined by love really and still maintain love with x persons".... Bitter enemies becoming perfect friends (with a bit of teasing)... Movie never takes itself seriously. The 21st Century version of Pulp Fiction. Top Marks.
