Okay... I haven't read the book(s) so I'm a little perplexed about the kerfuffle. Otherwise I found this to be a quirky and kooky little flick. I kinda liked it. I found the opening song "So long and thanks for all the fish" bloody hilarious and the consequent dry British wit.
So, as an outsider I enjoyed the Hitchhiker universe but if you're on the inside... well, then... umm.
