Review of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (2005) by Joel F — 03 Aug 2013
"The World's about to be destroyed, there's no pint getting all annoyed...So long and thanks for all the fish.".
The Hitchhiker's Guide to The Galaxy is a painfully funny, dry, and clever film that is filled with biting social satire and commentary, and neat nuggets of wisdom. The film has an interesting conceit and story, fun characters, good performances, and a fascinating, life-saving book that I kind of wish actually existed. It's an entertaining film that I always enjoy due to it's good sense of humor and the fact that it is actually quite smart despite it's silliness.
