The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy gets some things right but it fails to capture the feel of the books. it is undoubtedly weird, but not in the right ways. Scenes sometimes deteriorate into bad line delivery and moments where you want to cover you eyes and pray that it doesn't get worse.
There are moments where you will laugh but often it tries to be serious meaningful which misses the point of the books.
