I'm one of those who haven't read the book nor its follow-ups, so there are some cases where I wasn't understanding completely on its terms or few times what Stephan Fry was going on about whilst following the script. If you read the books, you'll understand better on what it's talking about. But that's not a big issue to interfere your enjoyment. This fun sci-fi comic adventure is clever, charming, sporadically hilarious and well done by its nice cast.
"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" can work either way for those who've read the books or not. (A-).
