Review of The Hitcher (2007) by Emilia P — 18 Dec 2008
It looked promising at first; Sophia Bush and Sean Bean, and a simple but interesting story, but. It wasn't realistic that the hitcher could just kill countless people and get away with it. And it never came out why he was doing it, just for fun, huh? And in te beginning, why was he standing in the middle of the road and why didn't he kill the truck driver who gave him a ride to the gas station? And in the end when Grace shot the hitcher, what happened to her then? Did she get caught or did she continue the hitcher's legacy or what? The movie leaves too many questions and no answers.
Which is not a good thing! So what was good? Well, the actors, especially Sean Bean is very talented and.. There were some intense scenes but only a few. There were also few gory scenes, eg when the hitcher tooks his cuffs off or when jim's body cuts to half.
So that was a good thing. All in all the movie was not so good and if you have a problem choosing between two movies and The Hitcher is the other, choose the other one! I don't recommend this to anybody.
