Review of The Hitcher (2007) by Jonathan H — 02 Aug 2009
Not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I was in the mood to watch a horror/suspense movie yesterday. Comcast even ripped this movie in the description, lol. You don't see that very often. 'The Hitcher' is brainless & knows it is, which is why it works.
Sean Bean is cool as the psychopath whom you never really get an explanation for his acts. The story is very predictable & the acting gets worse as the story progresses, especially at the end when the female lead suddenly turns into GI Jane.
She can suddenly handle a gun twice her size & kick doors down. "I don't feel anything." Such a cheesy ass ending, but laughable in a good way. Some cool kills, the quick runtime & the HOT female lead make this worth a single viewing, no doubt.
