Review of The Hitcher (2007) by Frédéric H — 03 Sep 2011
Collage Students Jim Halsey (Zachary Knighton) and Grace Andrews (Sophia Bush) are travelling across New Mexico on there way to Spring Break when the meet seemlgly stranded John Ryder (Sean Bean) and offer him a lift to a nearby motel. Ryder quickly reveals himself to be a pyschotic madman willingy to go to any lengths to hear the words "I want to die" and no one can save Jim and Grace from his relentless pursuit.
Haven't seen the orginal. Well Knighton and Bush are good (Bush btw is smokin hot), and I liked that they where portrayed as good people (the movie plays on the theme of Good beeing preyed apon by Evil), and Bean was suitably menacing (though not his best work to be sure), the film is let down by some shit stupid cops led by Neil McDonough (script problem not an acting one). Just didn't feel this one. Rental at best.
