This is a good example of someone being forced to lose their mind. Hauer was the perfect choice to play the hitcher and he seems to enjoy it a little too much at points.
We travel with Howell as he is slowly driven mad by being hunted by the mad man.
It's good. There isn't much to it but the movie puts forth a mood that fits the film and the actors make the characters feel real enough.
