Besides the atrocious picture quality of The Hitcher on DVD, it's a pretty interesting film. One psychotic pedestrian, played beautifully menacing by Rutger Hauer, makes life a living hell for a young motorist.
Dark and unsettling... worth your time, even with all its predictable jumps and unbelievable physics.
