Review of The Hitch-Hiker (1953) by Sean M — 24 Nov 2007
Right off the bat it commands your attention, and keeps it until the very end. The story itself is simple enough, but the way its told adds tension enough to make you seriously wonder what's going to happen next.
William Talman is simply amazing, making the killer Emmett Myers' psychotic personality come alive. You can see the insecurity in his eyes and with every passing car or radio broadcast his urgency and subsequent reflief.
Very well done.
